LABOUR HIRE LICENSING IS HERE

Labour Hire Providers operating in the state of Victoria must now hold a Labour Hire License (LHL) to operate legally under the Labour Hire Licensing Act 2018 (Vic). The legislation came into effect on 29 April 2019, with the Labour Hire Authority overseeing a 6 month transition period allowing providers time to lodge a license application and ensure compliance with the new laws. With the expiry of the transition period on 29 October 2019, labour hire providers must now hold (or have have a pending application for) a LHL. Significant penalties apply to both labour hire providers and their clients (hosts) where labour hire licensing requirements are not met. We are pleased to confirm that Connect People holds a current Labour Hire License and is legally able to operate in Victoria. You can view our license details on the Register of Labour Hire Licensed Providers. If you engage labour hire provider(s) on your projects, we urge you to ensure that they meet the requirements of the LHL Act. Simply look up your provider(s) on the Register of Labour Hire Licensed Providers to ensure you’re complying with these new laws. If your current provider is putting your business at risk, we invite you to consider Connect People as a licensed, professional and experienced alternative.
